"Last night during Straight Answers to Gay Questions, I looked around and was overcome with the implications of what was happening in that room, a real dialogue about queer issues; it really felt like an intimate group of people, sharing, listening and learning.   I don't think there is a way to say thank you for bringing that kind of experience to a campus like ours, but thank you, thank you, thank you!"
- Alison Folsom, Co-President, Feminists Reinventing Equality Everywhere, New Mexico State University

"What a wonderful opportunity for our students to stretch their understanding, thoughts, and beliefs regarding GLBT people and issues."
- Katie Shephard, Coordinator of Student Development, Valencia Community College Osceola

“As I watched the presentation progress, I witnessed your audience grow captivated as they asked questions and engaged in a sometimes funny but always sincere dialogue with you.”
- John Freml, President, Straights and Gays for Equality Everywhere, Illinois College

"As an ally, I've felt pressured to know the answers, rather than ask the questions. This program was an excellent forum for everyone to ask questions anonymously. Dorian and Marshall were so funny that everyone felt quite at ease with an often awkward topic. You rock!"
- Katie Rice, student, Hendrix College

"Marshall and Dorian present definitions, explanations, and give examples to difficult and often hushed or embarrassing questions. Their presentation informs and educates the public on topics that must be discussed in order to create a loving, accepting, creative world."
- Leslie Morrell, Women's Studies, New Mexico State University

“As a big supporter of people with different sexualities and genders, it’s awesome to see an open diaglogue about hardships, quirks, and joys bisexuals face.”
- Jes Gonzalez, student, SUNY Oswego

“This program is not only interesting, but is informative beyond belief.”
- Sarah Waffle, Co-Director, Rainbow Alliance, SUNY Oswego

"AMAZING! I'd heard great things and I wasn't disappointed. I'm planning a conference and you two are a MUST HAVE!"
- Student, Midwest GLBT Conference

"Overall I think the workshop is the best one dealing with sexuality I've ever been to. Great job!"
- Student, Wellesley College

"You rock! Fantastic presentation -- fun, informative, helpful, open environment with great discussion and questions. Really opened up my eyes to looking beyond the identity label."
- Student, Midwest GLBT Conference

"I love you guys! This was the most educational and fun workshop I've ever been to."
- Student, Kent State University

"I only wish this session could have been longer! Ah well, all good things must come to an end. Please come back again and again!"
- Student, Oberlin College

"I liked the fact that this workshop was for me and for issues relevant to my life, instead of the usual programs, which are about how I can make heterosexuals more comfortable with me."
- Student, Carleton College

"Wow! I have learned more about 'bi' in this short program than I have ever learned anywhere else ever before."
- Student, Safe Colleges Conference

"You were both fabulous! It was interesting as a straight woman to learn more about the dating deilemmas of GLBT students. It is very helpful as I go back to campus and work with the GLBT student organization I advise. Thank you!"
- Faculty, Safe Colleges conference 2003

"Appreciated your humorous, light style. Loved that you raised and addressed myths and stereotypes. Best session I've ever attended on bisexuality, thanks!"
- Staff, Lucent Technologies

Straight Answers to Gay Questions
Many heterosexual people have questions about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues but never have a chance to get the answers. In this program, Marshall and Dorian take a friendly, funny, accessible approach to answering questions and educating about this serious topic. They field questions ranging from "What makes people gay?" to "How do lesbians have sex?" to "Do bisexual people need to date two people at once?" to "Can transgender people have kids?" With the goal of increasing straight students' awareness, comfort, and sensitivity to GLBT issues, this program is a perfect event for Orientation Week, Pride Month, National Coming Out Day, or any time during the semester. Bi Popular Demand
This fun, lively program is all about the world between gay and straight. It's a chance for bisexual and bi-curious students, and their gay, lesbian, and straight friends and allies to come to together to talk and learn more. How do you know if you're bi? What are the best ways to respond to those who argue that bisexuality is "just a phase"? How can one cope with the assumption in the GLBT community that everyone is gay or lesbian? Are bisexual people twice as likely to get a date? We'll explore myths about bisexuality, tell you about the latest terms like "heteroflexible," and offer funny bi buttons for sale.
You can download this brochure we co-wrote, "Safer Sex For Bisexuals and Their Partners."

Queer Dating
Are you forever single and looking? Involuntarily celibate? Feel like there's no such thing as dating on your campus? Your school's pool of GLBT students is so small that you ran out of dating prospects after your freshman year? How can a shy person possibly survive the wilds of queer dating? Join us for some dating tips and a lively discussion about the perilous search for lasting love.
Note: This program is best suited for a conference setting.

Bisexual, Heteroflexible, No Label at All
A new generation of people are questioning, coming out, and exploring identity labels. While many will come out as GLBT, others will choose labels like heteroflexible, pansexual, simply "sexual," or not use any label. In this workshop, participants will explore the usefulness and limits of identity labels, the meanings of various labels, and how those labels work both personally and politically.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Basics and Beyond: A Training for Heterosexuals and Their Friends
Whatever your level of comfort and knowledge with gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues, this professional training will give you a chance to learn about GLBT lives and experiences, get answers to your questions, and take away practical tips for working and interacting with GLBT people on campus, in your workplace, or as clients.

Our workshops on sex and female orgasm have also been popular choices with GLBT audiences!

- 18% of college men say they've kissed another man, and 20% of college women say they've kissed another woman.
- Ten percent of college students who consider themselves heterosexual say they've fantasized about having sex with a same-sex partner.
- The pink triangle was originally used to identify gay men during the Holocaust. Lesbians were forced to wear black triangles.
- Lynn Lavner pointed out, "The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision."
